Bad days happen. Maybe you didn’t finish everything on your to-do list. Maybe you had an angry moment with your kids and you’re feeling guilty about it. Maybe something you did affected someone in a negative way (even though you didn’t mean for that to happen). Maybe you just felt really sad today and couldn’t get out of that funk no matter how hard you tried.
Please know this…it is okay.
It is okay to allow yourself to feel sad, guilty, angry, or disappointed. Feel it. But don’t dwell on it for long. When the day is done, and you’re getting ready for bed…Let. It. Go. Life will go on and everything will be okay. Because you are strong enough to get through it!
Take a moment to celebrate your victories, no matter how small. Yes, you’ve had some today! Did you get out of bed even though you could barely move? Did you take a shower today? Did you allow yourself a mental-health “do-nothing” day for once?
Those are GOOD things that you did for yourself. Celebrate them!
Then, give yourself a pep-talk and make a decision to start fresh tomorrow. You’ve got this! I’ll be cheering you on from here.
And by the way, I’d love to hear what your victories are! Will you share them in the comments?
